I saw a picture of your dining room rug on Instagram. Where is it from?

I wouldn’t recommend it… It’s not held up well over the years. Because of that, I’d rather not give the source. Hope you understand.

Hi… I think you’re referring to our previous home… We used BM Edgecomb Gray. Hope that helps!

Hi Alicia, I absolutely love your breakfast nook. I have an old Pottery Barn pedestal table that I am planning to refinish. Did you paint and stain your breakfast table or was it bought that way. If it was a DIY, would you kindly tell me the paint and stain color. Thank you, Melissa

Hi Melissa… The pedestal table in our breakfast nook is an antique from a local historical home. I used Magnolia Home Paint furniture paint in the color Shiplap. The top was that color and in that condition when I found it. Hope that helps and thank you for your sweet words!

Hi Andee… without knowing which home you’re referring to, its hard to know which rug you’d like to know more about. If it’s a woven jute rug, I have it sourced on my Instagram feed @ourvintagenest. I’d love for you to find the information there on my liketoknowit page. Thanks for your interest in our home.

About Alicia

Alicia of Our Vintage Nest

My name is Alicia Armstrong; thank you for being here!
Ever since I can remember, I've been exposed to interior decorating. Watching my mom decorate and antique shop is a vivid childhood memory. Since starting this blog in 2016, my taste in decor has evolved to a more refined style. I've never leaned toward trendy, but more of a classic and timeless style. I enjoy shopping my home and changing things up to update a space. I love working on relatively simple projects and seeing a piece of furniture or room transform on a small budget. We purchased a new home four years ago and while there's nothing that needs to be renovated, I'm constantly finding something to enhance. I've painted several rooms, added shiplap, designed built-ins for a homework station and updated builder grade tile since moving here in 2016.
I've been married to my husband, Chris for 20 years. He works as an IT engineer for a small business. We have two children and reside in NW Arkansas. We are a Christian family who desires to live a life with Christ at the center. We have two animals, a Golden Retriever, Paisley and a blue point Ragdoll, Angel. They definitely complete our family and bring us a lot of joy!
I'm happy you've found Our Vintage Nest, where I share inspiration for all things home. I hope to inspire you to love your home, re-purpose what you have through simple DIY and learn some practical design tips along the way.
