Spring Cleaning Made Easy

Thank you to Swiffer for sponsoring this post… Spring Cleaning Made Easy!

Two years ago, we made the best decision to add wood floors throughout the majority of our home.  Surprisingly, this is our first home with this much wood flooring and we love it!  I think we can all agree that this time of year is especially hard on wood floors.  We all love them and most of us have them, but they can be a challenge to keep clean!  With two kids and two long-haired pets, our floors see a lot of dirt, dry grass and fur balls.  The back door off our kitchen sees the most traffic with the dog and kids going in and out; you can imagine the mess it leaves behind.

Here are two of the culprits!  They sure are cute, but leave a lot of mess… Luckily, I found a product that makes life a little easier!

We’ve tried other cleaning products in the past, but those usually involved a spray bottle and washable pad.  They worked great for small areas, but to do a house full of wood floors would take all day!  I can happily say, I’ve finally found an easy and streak-free product!  The Swiffer WetJet Wood is nice because it’s an all-in-one system that assembles with ease and requires no bending over to spray.  The velcro pads are easy to change and dispose of and let me tell you, they can hold a lot of grime!

Letting the natural light pour in and Angel is focused on that back door… She thinks she’s an outdoor kitty!

So… Here’s what I’ve learned the last few weeks!  The difference between Swiffer WetJet Wood and those other cleaning products?  Swiffer WetJet Wood makes it fast and easy to have clean and streak-free wood floors!  Even my kids can help, which definitely lightens the cleaning load!

I know when I use Swiffer WetJet Wood that I’m helping to keep my floors clean and protected.

A big high five to this handy dandy cleaning tool… We are huge fans and we appreciate having less stress when it comes to keeping up with these floors!  I’m definitely less annoyed when I see Paisley coming in with dry grass all over her body!  We already use the Swiffer Sweeper, so now the two can be a team!

If you’ve been looking for a convenient and easy way to protect your wood floors, I strongly suggest getting your own Swiffer WetJet Wood on Amazon!  For those of you who have asked about what we use to care for our floors, I hope you found this helpful… This is definitely spring cleaning made easy!

Blessings,

I love the black and white rug you have under your table. Could you please tell me where you purchased it.

Hi Starla – It’s actually navy, taupe and off white. I have it sourced on my LikeToKnowIt page at “ourvintagenest” – Thanks for your interest in our home.

About Alicia

Alicia of Our Vintage Nest

My name is Alicia Armstrong; thank you for being here!
Ever since I can remember, I've been exposed to interior decorating. Watching my mom decorate and antique shop is a vivid childhood memory. Since starting this blog in 2016, my taste in decor has evolved to a more refined style. I've never leaned toward trendy, but more of a classic and timeless style. I enjoy shopping my home and changing things up to update a space. I love working on relatively simple projects and seeing a piece of furniture or room transform on a small budget. We purchased a new home four years ago and while there's nothing that needs to be renovated, I'm constantly finding something to enhance. I've painted several rooms, added shiplap, designed built-ins for a homework station and updated builder grade tile since moving here in 2016.
I've been married to my husband, Chris for 20 years. He works as an IT engineer for a small business. We have two children and reside in NW Arkansas. We are a Christian family who desires to live a life with Christ at the center. We have two animals, a Golden Retriever, Paisley and a blue point Ragdoll, Angel. They definitely complete our family and bring us a lot of joy!
I'm happy you've found Our Vintage Nest, where I share inspiration for all things home. I hope to inspire you to love your home, re-purpose what you have through simple DIY and learn some practical design tips along the way.
