Instagram Takeover with Select Blinds and the Cutest Airbnb in Bentonville, Arkansas

** This post features window coverings from Select Blinds!  All opinions are my own and my experience with the brand and its products. **

Hi friends!  Hope this finds you well; staying healthy and safe!  Last week, I did my first Instagram takeover with Select Blinds.  It was so much fun showing you where I live, behind the scenes at home during quarantine and a few home projects I’m currently working on!  During the takeover, I shared my favorite areas of where we live.  The historic downtown square of Bentonville is always an attraction.  Here’s a beautiful view of the fountain and tulips a few weeks ago!

The highlight of the day was getting out of the house to show you the cutest airbnb in Bentonville, Arkansas!  It’s called Starlanding and is owned by the sweetest couple I know from our local church.  They’ve followed me for years on my blog and Instagram feed, so when the opportunity came to flip a home for an airbnb, they knew they wanted to use Select Blinds!  Here are some highlights from the tour!

When you pull up to Starlanding, you’re welcomed with the coziest front patio and bright yellow door!

They recently added this front patio deck area for outdoor seating.  It wraps around the side of the house, where you can enjoy backyard seating and comfort.  I love the crisp white columns and welcoming feel of this quaint little home!  I spy Select Blind shutters in the front window!

The following photos were taken by me during the takeover tour and will be shared in order of how the home is laid out.

I love the warm welcome of colorful artwork as you enter this adorable airbnb!

The homeowner has graciously shared the paint colors throughout the home.

  • Wall color is Eider White by Sherwin Williams (SW 7014)
  • Trim color on windows, door casings and baseboards is High Reflective White by Sherwin Williams (SW 7757)
  • Master bedroom wall color is Mountain Air by Sherwin Williams (SW 6224)

As you enter the living room, you’re welcomed with warm woven wood shades and cafe shutters from Select Blinds.  I love the warm blend of light and dark woods in this color called Tupelo.  The cafe shutters below are a faux wood shutter in the color Cotton.  The homeowner shared with me that she was inspired by this shade/shutter combo in our home.  For more views of this look, visit this post!

Here’s a close-up of the window treatments and these beautiful solid wood floating shelves.

The fireplace surround is classic and simple with painted white brick and solid wood mantle.  The color palette of navy and gold welcomes you on the outside and carries into the entryway and living room.  The symmetry of floating shelves brings the room together!

To the right of the living room is the kitchen, island/bar and eating area.  The crisp white walls make everything stand out and I love the colorful artwork throughout.

Before you enter the kitchen, you’ll find an information booklet about the home and the story behind the name, Starlanding.

The kitchen includes beautiful granite countertops, white cabinetry, floating shelves and everything you’ll need to prepare meals during your stay.  Let’s not forget the view overlooking the living room.  I love this open concept floor plan.  For booking reservations, please see below!

The eating nook is probably one of my favorite areas in the home.  It’s so bright and cozy and includes a window seat for extra seating.  The same window coverings are repeated here, bringing warmth and texture!  The colorful bird art is whimsical and fun and the flowers compliment it beautifully.  The owner graciously shared the source of the art from icanvas.com

The following photos are of the three bedrooms in this NW Arkansas home.  Each room has it’s own color palette and is beautifully decorated by the owners.  I love the nautical feel of this room.  The plaid bedding and muted blue quilt are such a classic look!  They chose a full length shutter style in all three bedrooms.  I was humbled to learn that the woodwork around the windows was inspired by my home.  I believe it compliments the shutters perfectly!

The next bedroom (on the left) includes two twin beds, perfect for young kids and teenagers.  The room is small and cozy with its gray and gold color palette.  The owners decided to have the headboards built on the wall to save space.  I love the shiplap design & thought behind this room.

Next, is the first guest bathroom, complete with custom vanity and beautifully tiled shower.  Across from the vanity is a small closet (not shown), complete with washer and dryer and hanging area.

The master bedroom is the largest room in the house with calming shades of blue and gray.

The master bathroom is similar in style to the hallway bath with an extra surprise in the closet!

Last, but not least is an unexpected surprise!  Behind this pocket door is a beautiful vintage dresser and old kilim rug!  You know I was swooning when I discovered this closet view!

I hope you enjoyed seeing highlights from my Instagram takeover with Select Blinds and tour of the cutest airbnb in Bentonville, Arkansas!

If you’re ever in the area and need a place to stay for a few days, I encourage you to visit their website for reservations and details.  I want to thank the owners of Starlanding airbnb for allowing me to share their home during my Select Blinds takeover!  For questions and comments, please leave one below!  Thanks and have a great day!

Blessings,

Hi Erin… Are you referring to the home decor throughout the air bnb? I don’t have sources, but maybe they can help answer questions you may have about something!

Hi Erin… I’m glad you enjoyed the tour and the air bnb! Unfortunately, they do not have a blog or outlet to source their home decor. I can tell you that they got many of the pieces on their travels and also locally. Some of the furniture was custom built (like the twin beds in the guest room) and the white pieces on either side of the fireplace were found at an antique and carted home. Hope that answers some of your questions!

About Alicia

Alicia of Our Vintage Nest

My name is Alicia Armstrong; thank you for being here!
Ever since I can remember, I've been exposed to interior decorating. Watching my mom decorate and antique shop is a vivid childhood memory. Since starting this blog in 2016, my taste in decor has evolved to a more refined style. I've never leaned toward trendy, but more of a classic and timeless style. I enjoy shopping my home and changing things up to update a space. I love working on relatively simple projects and seeing a piece of furniture or room transform on a small budget. We purchased a new home four years ago and while there's nothing that needs to be renovated, I'm constantly finding something to enhance. I've painted several rooms, added shiplap, designed built-ins for a homework station and updated builder grade tile since moving here in 2016.
I've been married to my husband, Chris for 20 years. He works as an IT engineer for a small business. We have two children and reside in NW Arkansas. We are a Christian family who desires to live a life with Christ at the center. We have two animals, a Golden Retriever, Paisley and a blue point Ragdoll, Angel. They definitely complete our family and bring us a lot of joy!
I'm happy you've found Our Vintage Nest, where I share inspiration for all things home. I hope to inspire you to love your home, re-purpose what you have through simple DIY and learn some practical design tips along the way.
