Guest Bedroom Refresh With Walmart

Special thanks to Walmart for sponsoring this post!

Our guest room has always been a neglected space that lacked character, hence the reason it’s not been shared much.  When it’s not being used by our guests, it becomes a catch all for all the things… Laundry, extra home decor… You get the idea!  I’ve always wanted to make this room inviting and cozy by adding texture and layering for a guest bedroom refresh!  I’m excited to share that I’ve partnered with Walmart to share their Bedroom Swells Collection; I love all the affordable options they offer.  I was seriously blown away at their amazing selection!

Their home collection is full of beautiful and affordable options!  As mentioned before, I wanted to bring in texture and layers and found this new line called MoDRN at Walmart.  My favorite find is this gray/blue comforter – I knew it would work beautifully with the existing blue hues in this room.  It provides the soft texture and coziness I was looking for!  The price is even better at just $59, which includes two shams and a white button accent pillow!

All the furniture is the same, I just added neutral accessories.  I love this textured pillow from the MoDRN line, fringed denim lumbar pillow from BH&G and this white washed wood frame.  These pieces give this room a subtle coastal vibe that can easily transition into fall and winter.  Not only is Walmart staying true to their word of everyday low prices, they’re providing quality home furnishings that anyone can afford!  These additions provide the texture and cozy elements this room needed to feel welcoming for our guests.  For under $120, I was able to transform this room with pieces I can enjoy for years to come!

Below, you’ll be able to shop all of my favorite Walmart finds in my home, as well as some other things I gathered.  I hope you enjoy the rest of these photos of our guest bedroom refresh with Walmart!

    Hi Alicia!
This is a beautiful guest room. Where did you find/buy this white nightstand w/ the 2 shelves & those unique legs that are turned like round balls?? I noticed in Rhonda’s blog that she featured your house this past Friday & you has another side/end table that was in a natural finish, it has a round top w/those same unique legs as this white nightstand. Where are you finding these pieces???? Thanks for your blog & posts~I’m a new follower & I’m so excited!!! Keep it coming , you are truly blessed!

I’d love for you to connect with me on Instagram @ourvintagenest where I share all my home decor sources through a decor app called LikeToKnowIt… Both items you’re asking about can be found there. Hope that helps and thanks for your interest in our home.

Lovely room! Planning to buy the beautiful comforter. Do you know where you got the white layer trimmed in gray? Thank you!

Hi Lynn… Thanks so much! The white coverlet is several years old and just happened to match well with the comforter from Walmart. I’m sorry, I don’t have a source, as it was the only one when I purchased.

I love this! Fresh, crisp and clean while also feeling warm and welcoming. I’m having trouble finding the white coverlet you have has your base layer. Is it also from Walmart? Found all the other items you had linked. What great prices, too! Wow has Walmart.com really stepped up their game!

Hi Anita! Thanks so much… So, the white coverlet you’re referring to is several years old. It just so happened to flow nicely with the comforter I purchased from Walmart! You’re right, their selection and quality is really impressive! Glad you found this blog post helpful!

Thank you! No, I’ve had that print for many years; haven’t been able to find one like it.

About Alicia

Alicia of Our Vintage Nest

My name is Alicia Armstrong; thank you for being here!
Ever since I can remember, I've been exposed to interior decorating. Watching my mom decorate and antique shop is a vivid childhood memory. Since starting this blog in 2016, my taste in decor has evolved to a more refined style. I've never leaned toward trendy, but more of a classic and timeless style. I enjoy shopping my home and changing things up to update a space. I love working on relatively simple projects and seeing a piece of furniture or room transform on a small budget. We purchased a new home four years ago and while there's nothing that needs to be renovated, I'm constantly finding something to enhance. I've painted several rooms, added shiplap, designed built-ins for a homework station and updated builder grade tile since moving here in 2016.
I've been married to my husband, Chris for 20 years. He works as an IT engineer for a small business. We have two children and reside in NW Arkansas. We are a Christian family who desires to live a life with Christ at the center. We have two animals, a Golden Retriever, Paisley and a blue point Ragdoll, Angel. They definitely complete our family and bring us a lot of joy!
I'm happy you've found Our Vintage Nest, where I share inspiration for all things home. I hope to inspire you to love your home, re-purpose what you have through simple DIY and learn some practical design tips along the way.
