Hi! I’m Alicia, lover of all things vintage. I enjoy repurposing existing pieces or finding old treasures and breathing new life into them! Currently, I am a stay at home mom to two children, Ava, 11 and Tyler, 8. My dream job is to work with others to help them achieve a styled home they will love for years to come. I hope you find much inspiration at Our Vintage Nest. With a little creativity, time and patience, I believe anyone can achieve the decor style they desire.
Please feel free to share your positive thoughts with me and ask questions! I want this to be a welcoming place for all who visit here! You can find me on Instagram @ourvintagenest and Facebook at OurVintageNestDesigns.
I was born in Provo, Utah and raised in Colorado with my two younger brothers. When I was 12, my family and I moved to Oklahoma, where I graduated high school and attended college at Northeastern State University. It was there, that I met my husband on a blind date in 1997. We married in May 2000 and made our first home in NW Arkansas. In 2004, we moved to North Dallas, where our two children were born. In 2012, God laid it on our hearts to move to Central Arkansas to be closer to family. In August of 2016, we moved back to NW Arkansas to build and settle permanently.
When I’m not busy with my family, I enjoy interior design, painting and repurposing furniture. This usually requires a little creativity and a whole lot of paint. Whether it’s a room or a piece of furniture, painting is so soothing to me… I just get lost in the details. In 2008, after our 2nd child was born, my husband saw my passion for it and officially handed over the paintbrush…I’ve loved it ever since! Thank you for taking the time to get to know me and for following our journey!
